She Finally Finished It!

My story, and Rosa's too, can finally be read! If you liked The Bunco Club, her first book about my friends and me, I think you're going to like this one, too.

Quilters of The Bunco Club: Phree & Rosa, Book 2 of The Bunco Club Series, has been released on Amazon.

The blurb from the back of the book:
Revisit the characters from THE BUNCO CLUB and follow Phreedom Clarke and Rosa Mitchell as they each come face to face with their futures. Phree forges an exciting new life for herself from the proceeds of the Mayflower discovery. But will she learn to overcome bitter feelings toward her hippie mother? And how will she deal with an ex-husband whose desperate demands for money keep escalating? Struggling every day with grief and guilt, Rosa wonders what happened to make her fourteen-year-old son leave home. She worries she will never see him again. But the one question that paralyzes her with fear and never leaves her any peace remains the same: Is my child still alive? While the main focus of QUILTERS OF THE BUNCO CLUB: PHREE & ROSA is on two characters, the other six women from THE BUNCO CLUB weave in and out of the story keeping their strong friendship, opinions, and love of quilting alive.

At this moment the Kindle Edition IS available, but it takes Amazon a few days to link everything together (the cover still has not shown up for the Kindle--Argh!). If you're interested in the Kindle Edition Click Here.

FINALLY!

Karen has finally finished the book that tells my very own story along with Rosa's. It's the second book in The Bunco Club Series, and she called it Quilter's of the Bunco Club: Phree & Rosa. Never fear...all eight of us gals from The Bunco Club are involved and represented in Book 2.

Like I said in an earlier post, you're gonna meet my mother--hippie extraordinaire, Sunnie Eaton. And then there's my "darling" (and I mean that in a huge tongue in cheek way) ex-husband who is a big pain in the butt. Oh, yeah, I spend a chunk (small chunk) of the Mayflower money on something I've wanted for years. I'm dying to tell you what it is, but Karen might kill me off in the next book if I spill the beans, so I'm keeping my mouth shut. Rest assured it is WAY cool!

Honestly, if you liked The Bunco Club, you're going to want to read Quilter's of the Bunco Club: Phree & Rosa. And I say that NOT because I'm half the focus of the book...the part about Rosa is a page turner, too. At this point, Book Two is only weeks from it's release. I'm just sayin'...you don't want to miss it!

Looks like this will be the cover, and I've got to say, I'm liking it a lot!

I'll leave you with a little something I saw on Facebook the other day:
Thanks for looking, Phree.

Photos of My Mayflower Relatives

Photos of people talked about in The Bunco Club.
This picture is of my great-grandmother MeeMee, dated 1957, the year she passed away. She was a real person, and this is a picture of her!
Henrietta Hicks Snyder -- MeeMee. 1957

This is a photo of the actual Snyder soddy homestead in Hayes County Nebraska,  that was talked about in The Bunco Club where MeeMee (Henrietta) raised her eight children. Henrietta is holding the infant on the left hand side of the photo by the end of the horse. My grandma Nellie Erma (being the oldest) is the little girl at the front of the same horse. I count five kids in this picture--she still had three more to go!

I Want One of These!

It just figures that Karen would say this cool sewing machine belongs to Sunnie! What am I, chopped liver!? Why does my mom have all the fun stuff in Karen's sequel? I think I'll get out my hot-glue gun and a tin of buttons, and show Ms. Author just how creative Phreedom Aquarius Eaton Clarke can be.

Sign for My Office...

I might just be hanging a sign like this in my office in the sequel, Quilters of the Bunco Club.

The new book is taking shape and getting exciting. Too bad Karen has so many book signings and shows coming up--I just want her to write, write, write!

I wonder if I'll be drinking more coffee or wine in the new book?

Hooray! The Book Trailer is Ready

All eight of us are represented in this video.
That's a replica of my trunk, and Lettie's studio barn is at the end. I think Helen and Nancy are toasting the wine glasses, and the sewing room is Rosa's. The beautiful front porch is Nedra's, the fancy spread of food is from Beth, and the antique sewing machine belongs to Marge.

Well done, Ted Rosean, producer. Karen said you were a genius at creating videos, and she was correct!

Let's Get This Story Written...Let's GO!

So, I'm sitting here tapping my fingers while waiting for more of my story to evolve and Ms-Artist-Author is doing everything but writing!

Well, that's not entirely true, she did pound out a few pages yesterday after an extensive talk with her son discussing the storyline, plot, and bouncing ideas back and forth faster than a metronome on steroids. And to be fair she is in the final week or two of approving the audiobook chapters for The Bunco Club as they come through from Amy-the-Producer. Oh, yeah, she's also trying to hook up some blog interviews with some incredible authors she met at the Chicago Writers Block Party last weekend.

This is what I can tell you about the next book...shhhh, don't repeat, just between you and me:
You'll get a quick peek at the women in Vegas; my mother is driving me crazier than usual; something is going on with Ricky but I don't know what; and I apparently bought something that cost a lot of money.

I say she needs to clear the decks and get going on MY story...what do you think?

More later--keep checking.
